Clay has been employed by some of the most prestigious tennis clubs in Texas including the Houston City Club, the Briar Club and River Oaks Country Club.  He was most recently the Director of Tennis of the Hearthstone Country Club where led a staff of three pros to grow tennis activity by 25% .  His playing background includes back-to-back NJCAA National Team Championships with Tyler Jr. College, a second place finish in the NAIA Team Championships with the University of Texas at Tyler and All-American status from 1984 - 1988.  Clay has worked with players of all ages and levels ranging from beginner to professional and is a USPTA P-1 Certified Professional as well as USTA Sports Science Level 1 Certified.
